OFF-LINE INVERTER Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC H02M7/515

Abstract RU 2280942 C1

FIELD: induction heating of metals.

SUBSTANCE: proposed off-line inverter has its protective choke and load circuit branch directly connected between point of integrated anodes and that of integrated cathodes of its thyristors, additional smoothing choke being newly introduced in load circuit and compensating capacitor bank divided into two parts; one of load circuit branches is made in the form of series-connected inductor winding and first compensating capacitor bank and other one, in the form of series-connected second compensating capacitor bank and smoothing choke. Such design makes it possible to obtain equal currents through all turns of inductor winding and desired rated voltage across inductor winding dispensing with matching transformer and to enhance inverter stability margin with respect to time reserved to recover thyristor controllability.

EFFECT: utmost uniformity of heating metal placed in inductor.
