CORRUGATED SHEET SECTION Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC B21D13/10 

FIELD: rolled stock production, possibly manufacture of cold bent corrugated sheet sections.

SUBSTANCE: corrugated section is formed, mainly of steel with tension strength σ_B = 350 - 450 MPa and with thickness S = 1.5 - 3 mm. Section has semicircular corrugations of predetermined parameters with pitch t between them along length of sheet. In plan view apexes of corrugations are bent along arc-shaped symmetrical curves with variable bending directions along width of sheet and they are mutually joined by means of rectilinear portions inclined by 45° relative to lengthwise axis of sheet. Radius of said arcs R = (20 - 33) S; t = (0.6 -0.8) R. Height of corrugations h = (5.0 -6.7)S and it is less than width of corrugations by 2 - 2.4 times. Radius of corrugation apex is in range (6.7 - 10.0) S.

EFFECT: enhanced consumer's properties of corrugated sheet sections, lowered metal consumption for making them.
