FIELD: aeronautical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method consists in placing the aircraft on hoisting gear, dismantling the engines and hatches, mounting detachable jig in aircraft cabin having inner truss with upper and lower members made from load-bearing frame interconnected by load beating hoisting mechanism and supports mounted outside aircraft and used for securing the inner truss. Then, upper part of aircraft is supported by load-bearing frame of upper member and is immovably fixed on it. Skin with side panels of fuselage is dismantled and removed and upper and lower parts of aircraft and drawn apart by means of detachable jig, after which side panels with skin of increased height and changed geometry are mounted. Upper and lower members of detachable jig are disconnected from upper and lower parts of aircraft, engines and hatches are mounted, aircraft is lowered on landing gear and its leveling is performed. Device including said units is proposed for realization of this method.
EFFECT: possibility of changing overall dimensions of high-wing aircraft.
