FIELD: mechanical engineering; load lifting and handling machinery.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in control systems and safeguards of load-lifting cranes. Signals received from external devices at rail crane are recorded, digital signal processing is carried out, and distance from rail crane to its extreme or maximum tolerable positions on rail track are determined with subsequent limitation of working travels of rail crane. Used as external devices are signals from satellites of global position system (GPS) which are formed and recorded in form of position coordinates of rail crane on track. Said distance is determined by digital processing of difference of values coordinates of crane actual position and recorded values of coordinates of its extreme position on track. Signals from GPS satellites are received in upper parts of rail crane, for instance, on crane head. Distance between rail crane and its extreme positions on crane track, for instance, buffer stops, can be found also by means of ultrasonic, optical or electromagnetic (radio wave) ranger. In this case, prior to starting operation of rail crane, it is placed in extreme position at end of crane track, maximum distance from rail crane to beginning of crane track is determined, and value, thus obtained, is recorded. In process of operation of rail crane comparing of recorded value with actual value of said distance from rail crane to beginning of crane track is done additionally. If actual value exceeds recorded value, travel motions of crane are switched off. Group of inventions makes it possible to increase accuracy of checking position of rail crane on crane track of any length, with due of deflection of rail crane from vertical position.
EFFECT: facilitated mounting, provision of high reliability, enlarged operating capabilities of rail crane.
