FIELD: cathode protection of underground structures against corrosion and transmission of direct current by a distance according to the "conductor-earth" system, in particular, to grounding electrodes of positive polarity direct current, and methods for their installation; applicable in petroleum, gas and electric-power branches of industry and in public services.
SUBSTANCE: the device of grounding electrode has a hollow current lead, whose cavity communicates a hollow current lead, whose cavity communicates with the cavity of a current-conducting bus insulated from the outside by a dielectric shell and enveloped by non-metallic separating and restricting nets coaxial to it, closed at the bottom together with the current lead by a guide cone, and at the top together with the connection of the current lead and the current-conducting bus-by a cover, forming an outer cavity between the restricting and separating nets filled with a coke backfill, and an inner cavity between the separating net and the current lead-with a graphite crumb, an elastic current-conducting medium is positioned between the current lead and the graphite crumb, the medium represents a set of washers with parallel holes around the axis of the washers of an elastic current-conducting elastomer fitted on the current lead made in the form of an elastic sealed cylindrical shell of current-conducting elastomer, pulled up on the perforated end of the current-conducting bus and fastened at the end on it at the top by the cover, and from the bottom - by the guide cone. The method for installation of the grounding electrode device consists in arrangement in the hole of the current lead and current-conducting backfill with a subsequent packing of it by increasing the bulk of the current lead, the packing action on the current-conducting backfill because of the increase of the current lead bulk is effected by means of the elastic current-conducting medium.
EFFECT: provided the constantly maintained preset level of the resistance to spreading of grounding current irrespective of the earth settlement and shove.
