FIELD: spraying of agricultural lands with fertilizers and plant defense means, may be used in agriculture and branches of industry where treatment of territories with liquid solutions is practiced.

SUBSTANCE: method involves creating at least two air flows; directing said air flows symmetrically at an angle of 120-160 deg, preferably 135 deg, about direction of advancement of sprayer in order to spray surface to be treated in rearward direction and laterally of sprayer, and simultaneously creating aerodynamic forces, with resultant of said forces moving said sprayer. Self-propelled sprayer has wheeled frame, carrying at least one reservoir for liquid, at least two air screws whose axes of symmetry are arranged symmetrically at indicated angle about direction of advancement of sprayer, and working liquid feeding system connected to reservoir for liquid.

EFFECT: increased spraying width and provision for self-propulsion of sprayer resulting in increased efficiency, improved spraying quality and reduced operating costs.
