FIELD: containers, packaging elements or packages, specially adapted for particular articles or materials, namely cigarette packs.

SUBSTANCE: cigarette pack is shaped as rectangular parallelepiped and includes container, hinged lid connected to the container along hinge. Container comprises four walls defining closed contour, namely front wall, rear wall and two side walls. Front wall has hinge and free edge parallel to the hinge. Container also has lower wall, inner cavity for cigarette group receiving and orifice to open access to the cavity. The orifice passes between the hinge and above free edge. The hinged lid comprises central wall, which may rotate about the hinge, and two side walls transversal to the central wall and parallel to side wall of the container. The pack also has collar insert located inside above cavity and including two side walls located at corresponding side container walls. Each side wall of hinged lid is located between side wall of collar insert and side container wall.

EFFECT: increased rigidity and improved sanitary conditions inside the pack, enhanced safety of cigarette storage in the case of outer wrap breakage.
