FIELD: engineering of devices for accumulation of blankets, meant for feeding to cylinder of printing machine, and also technology for feeding blankets onto cylinder of printing machine.

SUBSTANCE: device for accumulation of blankets has holder, which in first working position holds blanket in first accumulating position, while blanket during transition of holder to second working position it freed from holder and leaves its first accumulating position. Below first accumulating position at a certain distance from it along vertical line second accumulating position is provided, in which prior to its feeding onto cylinder, blanket released by holder is positioned. Method for feeding blankets onto cylinder of printing machine includes placing blankets meant for feeding onto cylinder into accumulator for their length without mutual contact. Blankets meant for serial feeding onto cylinder are placed along their length one above another in accumulation positions, distanced from one another for certain distance along vertical line. Method also takes into consideration, that at least one blanket is fed onto cylinder only after its displacement from its vertically higher accumulating position to its vertically lower accumulating position.

EFFECT: possible fast and reliable replacement of several blankets simultaneously or one by one on the cylinder in printing machine.
