ENGINE PLANT OF HYPERSONIC CRAFT Russian patent published in 2006 - IPC F02K7/10

FIELD: aircraft industry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed engine plant for hypersonic craft contains hypersonic ramjet engine with at least one combustion chamber furnished with fuel injection device and igniter. Oxygen is supplied to igniter input. Engine plant contains also heat exchange device for cooling engine by hydrocarbon fuel coupled by output with fuel injection device. Engine fuel feed system contains fuel tank with hydrocarbon fuel and turbopump set with centrifugal pump whose input is coupled with output of fuel tank, and output, with input of heat exchanger. Turbine is fitted on one shaft with centrifugal pump. Fuel feed system contains additionally self-contained circuit to deliver gaseous substance compatible with hydrocarbon fuel in process of combustion to turbine under pressure. Output of said circuit is connected with input of turbine, and hydrogen is delivered to input as gaseous substance compatible with hydrocarbon fuel.

EFFECT: improved reliability of hypersonic craft.
