FIELD: metallurgy, reduction gear for converter.
SUBSTANCE: reduction gear includes toothed rim joined with rotation shaft of converter vessel and engaged at least with one drive pinion of reduction gear. Reduction gear also includes at least one locking device engaged with teeth of toothed rim or disengaged with them. Said locking device is in the form of locking lever mounted on horizontal shaft and having toothed portion. Shaft of locking lever is mounted at least on end support. End parts of locking lever are engaged with units that provides engagement of locking lever with teeth of toothed rim at forced closing or disengagement of locking lever and toothed rim. In shaft of locking lever two freely rotating (one inside other) eccentric sleeves are mounted; said shaft is mounted in housing of reduction gear of converter. Each eccentric sleeve is provided at least with one clamping sleeve having axial wedges for opening each clamping sleeve along its outer and inner diameters.
EFFECT: simplified design of reduction gear.
