FIELD: transport mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: clutch can be used for transmitting rotation. Safety magnetic clutch has driving and driven discs. Multiplicity of magnets is disposed onto discs, which magnets are fastened to surfaces of discs turned to each other with their unlike poles. Clutch also has member for controlling force of interacting magnets; the member is disposed among magnets. There is space between magnets of discs. Discs are disposed at the same axis. Magnets are placed to have alternating magnetic polarity at surfaces being perpendicular to axis of discs. When maximal admissible value of torque is exceeded, driving disc is capable of rotating in relation to like driven disc, which disc, in case poles of its magnets coincide with like poles of magnets of driving disc, is capable of axial movement along guide from mentioned control member, made in form of adjusted rest mounted onto axis, to fixing catcher fixed motionlessly onto axis at specified distance from driving disc. Catcher is made in form of disc which has a lot of permanent magnets with alternating magnetic polarity corresponding to driven disc.
EFFECT: simplified design; improved reliability.
