FIELD: electrical engineering; general industrial electric drives.
SUBSTANCE: newly introduced in AC drive incorporating center-tapped bipolar rectifiers at outputs of controlled DC voltage converters and rectifier reference-voltage shapers of control units for DC voltage converter made in the form of desired-frequency sine-wave reference voltage shapers are output zero-voltage recording units, rectifier voltage signal switching units, and control pulse distributors using switches of rectifier voltage signal switching units. Connected to center tap of each rectifier voltage signal switching unit is one of phase leads of induction motor winding whose other lead is connected to center tap of rectifier. Power output of each controlled DC voltage converter incorporating rectifier and of each rectifier voltage signal switching unit equals that of induction motor respective phase. Input of each control unit of DC voltage converter is connected to output of respective three-phase operating-frequency balanced-voltage shaper of induction motor.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency due to reducing frequency of power switches incorporated in rectifier voltage signal switching unit.
