FIELD: mechanical engineering; conveyors.

SUBSTANCE: proposed drive has drive drum with electric motor and brake device in form of contact pair with taper thread. Movable link of pair with taper thread rests on spacer member installed to provide engagement of contact pair links with taper thread at reverse rotation of movable link of pair with taper thread. Taper thread of said contact pair is made on drive shaft and drive gear, and spacer member prevents rotary displacement of movable link of pair with taper thread.

EFFECT: improved reliability of drive.
