FIELD: telecommunication equipment, possible use in structures of cable couplers, realizing function of connection of clients to main buses of information transfer lines via serial main interface.

SUBSTANCE: cable coupler contains electro-conductive box body in form of elongated parallelepiped, made of two engaged upper and lower parts. Positioned inside the body and connected to cables is circuit board, carrying elements of electric circuit of cable coupler. Cables are represented by cables with twisted screened pair of wires. Circuit board is positioned on isolating substrate on the bottom of body and abuts against lower surface of upper part of body by its upwardly protruding dielectric elements, for example, bodies of synchronizing transformers, realized galvanic decoupling of cables. Insertion of cables is realized from opposite end sides of body, while cables in places of their insertion into body are positioned in same plane, parallel to bottom of body. From external side cables are held in holders connected to body. Inside the body ends of cables, cut to their screening covers, are positioned on circuit board on its upper conductive layer, contacting via screening covers with ground contact areas, connected electrically to each other, to grounding area and to body.

EFFECT: expanded arsenal of cable couplers, due to creation of compact structure of cable coupler for limited number of branches (within several units), comfortable for usage in cable main information transfer systems, not requiring, as opposed to prototype, loop-like end of main cable and separate clamp for its connection.
