FIELD: food-processing industry.
SUBSTANCE: apparatus has upper cassette conveyor and lower belt conveyor, water supply system with sprayers arranged above cassette conveyor, water cut-off trays and additional water supply system equipped with pipeline connected to main water supply system, and sprayers. Irrigation and holding zones are formed above cassette conveyor runs. Sprayers are positioned in zone where heat is supplied to frozen product through irrigating water. Water cut-off trays are positioned in holding zone above lower run and are inclined toward irrigation zone.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of water and energy carrier needed for heating the latter, and intensified defrosting of food products.
