FIELD: mechanical engineering; compressors.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to centrifugal compressors and it is aimed at improving coordination of centrifugal impeller and radial vaned diffuser using standardized units at changing of designed air flow rate and under different operating conditions. According to invention, device contains inserts installed in blading of centrifugal compressor, on outer housing of radial vaneless and vaned diffuser. Each insert has two characteristic sections forming passage area. First section is part of circumference with central angle φ=360°/Zrvd where Zrvd is number of vanes of radial vaned diffuser. Form of second section is defined by passage part of intervene channel of radial vaned diffuser, being limited from one side by vane negative pressure surface, and from other side, by pressure surface of adjacent vane of radial diffuser.
EFFECT: improved coordination of centrifugal impeller and radial vaned diffuser.
