FIELD: method and system for controlling parameters of control channel in communication system.
SUBSTANCE: access terminal may require monitoring over control channel during shorter time period, if current message indicates that received group of service parameters is refreshed. In this case access terminal with refreshed service parameters may cease to monitor control channel until end of time period of synchronous capsule. In other case, access terminal may continue monitoring of control channel until refreshed group of service parameters is received.
EFFECT: monitoring of control channel for increasing time span during which mobile station may remain in standby or sleep mode and at the same time immediately receives all messages and parameters transferred over control channel.
