FIELD: inorganic chemistry, medicine, stomatology.

SUBSTANCE: invention discloses amorphous silicon dioxide suitable in using in dental composition. Proposed substance has mass-average size of particles in the range from 3 to 15 mcm wherein particles of size less 20 mcm comprises at least 90% by mass of all particles. The abrasion dentine value (RDA) determined by radioactive test using silicon dioxide aqueous suspension is 100-220, purification degree of pellicle (PCR) after addition to the dental composition in the concentration 10 wt.-% of silicon dioxide is above 85, the ratio PCR to RDA is in the ratio from 0.4:1 to less 1:1, and plastic abrasion value in the range from 11 to 19. Silicon dioxide possessing above said properties is prepared by the precipitation procedure. Above said silicon dioxide prepared according with the proposed invention is useful as anti-adhesive agent in plastics.
