FIELD: mechanical engineering; rope winches.

SUBSTANCE: winch has frame with shaft on which rope drums are mounted. First drum is rigidly installed on shaft, and second drum is installed on shaft for rotation. Ratchet mechanism is coupled with second drum and is provided with brake stop engaging with supports of second drum. Which is provided with shell secured on end of shaft and rigidly coupled with second drum. Supports and stop are arranged between flanges of shell on which ratchet wheel is installed engaging with pawl of ratchet mechanism. Shell is divided over circumference by supports on to working sections, each consisting of first part and second part being extension of first part. First part is made curvilinear or rectilinear, and second part is made to radius of solid of revolutions.

EFFECT: improved reliability and safety in operation.
