FIELD: mining and building, particularly to drive rod members in ground by applying percussion action thereto, to break oversized items and to destruct old building structures.

SUBSTANCE: percussion machine comprises body, striker, forward stroke chamber, return stroke chamber and additional chamber arranged between the body and striker, working liquid delivery and discharge channels made in the body, control channel arranged in the body and connected with additional chamber and with return stroke chamber at the end of striker travel. Percussion machine also has tool, liquid source, accumulator, tank and hydraulic distribution means. Hydraulic distribution means connects forward stroke chamber with liquid source, with accumulator and with return stroke chamber at the end of reverse strike travel. After the striker has been retained before reverse strike travel and predetermined pressure P3 has been achieved in the system hydraulic distribution means are arranged to provide liquid discharge in the tank. The first hydraulic distributor control chamber is permanently connected with liquid source and accumulator, the second one is communicated with control channel in the body and is tightened by means of spring with force equal to that created in the first control chamber under P3 pressure. The body has additional control channel to communicate the second hydraulic distributor control chamber with liquid source and accumulator through additional chamber and control channel of the body prior to striker travel in reverse direction in the absence of predetermined static tightening force action on tool from material to be treated. Return stroke liquid deliver and discharge channel made is the body and tool installation define closed space for liquid in return stroke chamber at the end of forward striker travel.

EFFECT: increased load-bearing reliability due to hydraulic distributor means blocking and impact damping.
