METHOD AND DEVICE TO APPLY GAS-DYNAMIC ACTION TO FORMATION Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E21B43/263

Abstract RU 2298090 C1

FIELD: oil production, particularly methods for stimulating production by forming crevices or fractures using explosives.

SUBSTANCE: method involves performing perforation within the bounds of formation to be treated; assembling uncased sectional charge provided with inner hollow channel and developed surface by passing composite metal hollow rod through the charge channel; bringing charge sections together and tightly pressing charge sections one to another; lowering charge in well so that charge sections are aligned with perforation orifices; combusting charge sections to create gaseous combustion products, pressure and temperature pulses. Composite metal rod is formed of metal with magnetostrictive properties. Impulse high-frequency generator is connected to upper part of the rod or is land-mounted. Impulse high-frequency radiator is inserted in hollow charge channel and is connected to impulse high-frequency generator. Contactor, which returns current to lower part of metal hollow rod, is arranged between the generator and the radiator. Impulse high-frequency electromagnetic field is created and metal hollow rod is heated by means of field induction to ignite charge sections. Charge section burning provides formation liquid heating within action application interval. Then acoustic action is applied to formation due to magnetostrictive properties of the hollow rod. Charge adapted to apply gas-dynamic action to formation and provided with high-frequency impulse generator is used. The charge is connected with impulse high-frequency radiator arranged in central charge channel.

EFFECT: possibility to create cracks and cavities in well bore zone, decreased oil viscosity, improved bottomhole formation zone cleaning of mudding products.
