FIELD: guard devices, particularly locks.

SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic lock comprises cylindrical body and electromagnet coil installed in the body. Catch comprises central orifice including conical and cylindrical parts. Outer catch surface has two parts, namely the first and the second ones. The first part has diameter equal to inner body diameter. The second part has diameter less than inner body diameter and is provided with orifices with balls arranged therein. Pulling limb end has lesser diameter and comprises turning for retaining ring receiving. Fixer is located in cavity created between cantilever catch part and inner body surface so that the fixer may move in longitudinal direction. Inner fixer surface includes two sections of different diameter, namely inner and outer ones. Outer fixer surface section has radius equal to that of outer surface of cantilevered catch part. Inner fixer surface section has radius exceeding above radius for value equal to distance of ball projection over inner surface of cantilever catch part. Return spring is arranged on the limb and is installed between washer and outer fixer bottom surface. Cross-bar is made as rod passing through orifice made in covering plate. Outer rod end is provided with head having diameter equal to that of cylindrical central catch orifice part. In accordance to the second embodiment inner body cavity is provided with extension so that inner body surface has conical shape between the extension and outer body surface. Fixer abuts upon extension by end surface thereof. Orifices for ball receiving are made in side fixer surface. Trapezoid turning is created in inner body surface. Distance between centers of orifices for ball receiving and turning center is equal to electromagnet limb travel. Turning depth is equal to distance of ball projection over inner fixer surface.

EFFECT: simplified manufacture, increased operational reliability and decreased power inputs.
