FIELD: volumetric imaging method for improving visual quality of images for displaying three-dimensional data on two-dimensional indication device with non-transparency and shading for controlling realistic displaying of images, indicated on imaging device composed of voxels.
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to invention, for improving indication of objects, non-transparency of displayed voxels of data volume may be calibrated depending on non-transparency of nearby voxels. By using instrumental non-transparency means, value α of standard non-transparency is assigned to each voxel in the volume, using three-dimensional non-transparency function α(i,j,k), where α is non-transparency, and i,j,k letters stand for orthogonal directions.
EFFECT: improved visual quality of images, received by means of display on display device of volume-metric data in voxel format for indication of three-dimensional data on two-dimensional indication devices with shading and non-transparency for adjusting realistic reproduction of images.
