FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, mechanized cow milking technique.
SUBSTANCE: two-cycle milking unit for pairwise milking has two-chamber teat cups, pulsator, milk-vacuum hoses, milk claw with milk accumulating chamber and variable vacuum chambers. Milk claw is equipped with horizontal hollow cylinder incorporating piston positioned for movement within it. Piston movement is delimited by means of dampers fixed on inner end walls of hollow cylinder. Two mutually isolated chambers are defined at both sides of piston, each of said chambers communicating with variable vacuum cavities of milk claw and with teat cup cavities defined between their walls. Teat cups operate in opposite cycle mode. Milk claw with variable position of center of mass allows weight of suspension part of milking unit to be substantially reduced without cow injuring.
EFFECT: increased efficiency, provision for complete milk stripping, reduced total loading of animal's udder and reduced labor intensity.
