FIELD: communication means and radar engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed antenna assembly has single-pulse phased antenna array assembled of radiator bars joined with phase-shifter bars, waveguide distributor built of directional couplers and main-line waveguides, as well as microwave adder; waveguide distributor has M first-type linear distributors assembled in four-distributor groups which fill up entire aperture of two-dimensional single-pulse phased antenna array in line-by-line manner and four second-type linear distributors disposed orthogonally to M first-type linear distributors; inputs of second-type distributors are connected to respective outputs of microwave adders and each of waveguide outputs of directional couplers in these distributors is connected to respective main-line waveguide of first-type linear distributors; each of second-type linear distributors is assembled of two parts, main and additional ones. Main parts of second-type linear distributors and all linear distributors of first type are built around directional couplers with channels intersecting at angle of 65 - 80 deg. so that waveguide outputs of main-divider directional couplers of second-type linear distributors and those of first-type linear distributors form equidistant structure from different halves of aperture, left-, right-hand, top, and bottom ones, respectively, in both planes with period dH ≤ 0.63λ in plane of first-type linear distributor and with period dE ≤ 0.49λ in plane of second-type linear distributor. Waveguide corners whereto microwave energy is directed are installed in arms of waveguide outputs in main dividers of second-type linear distributors to provide for waveguide turning in H and E planes and for waveguide section transformation. Connected through waveguide phase-shifting sections to each of main-divider arms of second-type linear distributors whereto microwave energy is branched are waveguide outputs of additional-divider directional couplers of second-type linear distributors, each being made in the form of a number of directional couplers integrated by main-line waveguide whose input is connected to respective output of additional microwave adder. Input of this adder, as well as that of main adder across which difference characteristics are formed in plane of second-type distributor, are connected through phase-shifting sections to outputs of waveguide directional coupler, difference characteristics corresponding to directivity pattern characterized in reduced level of side lobes being formed across its input.
EFFECT: enhanced stability of gain-phase characteristic, reduced longitudinal size of antenna assembly and side-lobe level of difference directivity pattern in second-type distributor disposition plane.
