FIELD: transport engineering; overhead systems.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport mechanisms with preset trajectory of movement and it can be used on rough terrains. Proposed overhead transport system includes running part in from of beam with two opposite horizontal rolling planes and vehicle provided with lower pressure wheels in addition to upper support wheels. Beam is U-shaped, being suspended by central posts. Lower rolling plane is found on inner surface of beam and is coated with material featurning higher coefficient of adhesion. Lower pressure wheels are driving ones.
EFFECT: provision of carriage of passengers and loads over rough terrain in distant regions.
