METHOD OF DEVELOPING OIL POOL WITH LOW-PERMEABLE RESERVOIR Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E21B43/20

Abstract RU 2304704 C1

FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: invention resides in the following. Working substance is first injected into well at minimum injected working substance intake 5 to 50 m3/days and minimum initial pressure 2-4 MPa followed by technological ageing of closed well at achieved formation pressure. Injecting cycles with minimum intake and pressure are repeated until stable pressure drop levels are achieved during ageing period. In the second step, working substance is injected into well at elevated injection pressure and retained minimum working substance intake, technological ageing is performed in closed well and achieved formation pressure, injection cycles at elevated pressure and minimum intake are repeated until stable pressure drop levels are achieved during ageing operation. In the third and subsequent possible injection and ageing cycles, elevated injection pressure with minimum retained intake are repeated until working pressure of working substance injection is achieved. Working substance injection intake is gradually raised to achieve most achievable intake of the order of 50-100 m3/day. Thus achieved working substance injection regime is used in development of oil pool.

EFFECT: enabled development of well with intake capacity close to zero while ensuring intake capacity of well below working pressure of working substance injection and thereby enabled development of oil pool in formation pressure maintenance regimes.
