FIELD: electrical engineering; movable prefabricated explosion-safe transformer substations including those used for mines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed explosion-safe transformer substation has power transformer in explosion-safe enclosure that incorporates magnetic circuit with horizontal top and bottom yokes and windings with axial ducts. Side surfaces of explosion-safe enclosure are made in the form of panels assembled of thin-walled tubes. Panels are joined together and carry cooling liquid radiator and top yoke cooling manifold.. Three fans are installed in bottom part of explosion-safe enclosure opposite magnetic circuit.
EFFECT: enhanced explosion safety and improved thermal characteristics.
