FIELD: wood working.
SUBSTANCE: wood-concrete sleeper comprises wood members and concrete members. The wood rod whose diameter is ½ of the height of the sleeper is set in the concrete. The rod is threaded. The depth of the thread is 0.01 of the rod diameter, and the pitch of the thread is 0.1 of the diameter of the rod. Two wood inserts are secured to the rod from above. The rod is provided with rectangular grooves extended throughout the length of the rod. The width of the rod is 0.1 of the rod diameter.
EFFECT: reduced weight, prolonged service life, and reduced cost.
