FIELD: mechanical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: both versions of proposed method provide direct or indirect measurements of parameters characterizing load and/or spatial position of boom, primary processing of results of measurements, if required, and entering the results in memory with provision of possibility of read out. Measured additionally are level or amount of fuel in fuel tank of lifting machine engine, or rate of fuel consumption of load-lifting machine engine with entering of results of measurement in memory and additional processing of results on load lifting machine or in computer after reading out from memory. According to first version, excessive consumption of fuel and/or requirement of preventive or repair works of load-lifting machine is revealed by calculating ratio of fuel consumption at present period of operation of load-lifting machine to total mass of lifted and transported loads at this period of time and comparing this ratio with present values or comparing consumption of fuel when carrying out typical load-lifting and transporting cycles and revealing increase in said consumption in any cycle relative to consumption at previous cycle. According to second version, reduction of level of fuel or its amount to minimum tolerable value is revealed sufficient for carrying out load-lifting and transporting cycle of maximum possible duration, and warning signal is formed in this case. Parameter recorder of load-lifting machine contains load and/or spatial position of boom equipment pickup, engine fuel tank fuel level or fuel amount pickup of load-lifting machine and fuel flow rate pickup of load-lifting machine, calculator on base of microcontroller, memory and indicator.

EFFECT: improved safety of load-lifting machine in operation owing to monitoring presence of fuel in fuel tank.
