FIELD: textile industry.
SUBSTANCE: single-knitted jersey fabric has transferred stitches and thrown-on stitches, said transferred stitches being knitted through thrown-on stitches formed from one and the same thread in the same course and arranged in at least two stitch columns from columns wherein said thrown-on stitches are formed. Thrown-on stitches are formed in knitted fabric in each stitch course in staggered arrangement to impart openwork effect.
EFFECT: reduced stretching and unroving properties of knitted fabric to thereby widen fields of application of the given kind of fabric.
