SYSTEM TO PERFORM EARTH-MOVING OPERATION UNDER BURIED PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2007 - IPC E02F5/10 

FIELD: mining and construction, particularly earth-moving operations to remove ground from under buried pipeline located near ground surface.

SUBSTANCE: system is adapted to remove ground from under buried pipeline laid near ground surface after ground removal from area located over pipeline and from pipeline sides. Earth-moving system comprises main frame to be installed on buried pipeline and cutting tool frame supported by main one. Cutting tool frame has pair of rotary cutting tools arranged on lower side thereof. Rotary cutting tools may be installed in opened position in which cutting tools are spaced apart and in closed position in which they are located close to each other. Bearing bodies for cutting tool supporting are arranged so that neighboring ends thereof are inclined inwards with respect to vertical axis in closed cutting tool position. Each rotating cutting tool comprises rotor rotating about axis of corresponding bearing body and carrying a curtain number of cutting members connected to annular outer surface thereof. Enveloping line defined by cutting member ends of each rotor is formed so that enveloping line diameter is maximal in central part thereof with respect to rotor axis and gradually decreased from central part of enveloping line towards upper and lower ends thereof. Lower part of enveloping line located under central rotor part is near envelope line of another rotor.

EFFECT: increased ground excavation efficiency along with decreased system size.
