FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: bench comprises four sections secured to the base and provided with units of paired drums mounted on the platform for permitting independent free movement, measuring unit connected to the channel for measuring caster and camber angles, measuring rocker that has no rigid connection with the wheel and set on the pivot made of a probe provided with three rollers arranged at an angle of 120° and contacting with the side of the wheel out of deformation caused by the drums. The bench is provided with an adjusting mechanism made of side locking stops, frame, and guiding rollers and system for control and measurements. The unit of paired drums is composed of four bearings units that bear on the base and made of floating separators with balls, carriage mounted on them and provided with driving and driven drums. The base is additionally provided with the locators and shank provided with guiding movable pin. The carriage has the shank provided with groove.
EFFECT: enhanced precision of adjusting.
