FIELD: city-based special-purpose transport systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed amphibious convertible helicopter has high-wing monoplane at low aspect ratio of wing; mounted on outer wing panels are two swivel annular channels equipped with turning units and propellers for forming vertical and horizontal thrust at respective deviation; they are also provided with propeller gearboxes which are connected with primary gearbox by means of connecting shafts; primary gearbox is driven by power plant consisting of two engines mounted in nacelles on both sides from fuselage axis; they are provided with synchronizing shaft and jet vanes of longitudinal and directional control; they are mounted at the ends of tail boom; provision is also made for tail unit and three-leg landing gear retracted into nose compartment and pressurized compartments. Proposed amphibious convertible helicopter may be converted in the helicopter modes into single- and three-rotor tier configuration (2+1) and vice versa or into monoplane or biplane configuration in the aircraft modes. Primary gearbox is equipped with vertical shaft having two-blade central main rotor whose blades have tips forming S-shaped section in plan. One blade is made for change of angle of incidence for turn-over of blade in vertical plane at the moment when it is located along longitudinal axis of fuselage in tail section for converting the two-blade main rotor into wing having the tips imparting it the shape of clamp in plan and vice versa. Vertical shaft is provided with additional drive for fixed turn in horizontal plane and for setting the wing perpendicularly to longitudinal axis of fuselage relative to its trailing edge.
EFFECT: enhanced aerodynamic efficiency in all modes of flight; improved takeoff and landing characteristics both in helicopter and aircraft modes.
