FIELD: agricultural engineering, in particular, equipment for drying seeds of various farm crops.
SUBSTANCE: seed drier has two similar drying chambers positioned one above another within cylindrical casing and connected with one another so as to control thickness of layer of material under drying process. Each of drying chambers comprises stepped grids for movement of seed layer under gravity from charging hopper to discharge device. Grids are arranged at an angle of natural slip of material and define two cones joined to one another with their bases. In each drying chamber, cones defined by inclined stepped grids are separated by means of air-impermeable partitions. Air-impermeable partition positioned within upper drying chamber is provided in its central part with window furnished with cross-flow fan. In lower drying chamber, inclined grids positioned at opposite sides of air-impermeable partition are also provided with windows, each hermetically connected by means of pipeline to heat generator. Window positioned in inclined stepped grid under air-impermeable partition within lower drying chamber comprises cross-flow fan.
EFFECT: reduced consumption of power for drying of seeds of various farm crops.
