FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves making access to direct muscle of horizontal or vertical action and into retroequatorial space. Direct muscle being contralateral synergist on the healthy eye, is attached to sclera with two crossover sutures in a zone located on the other side of the eyeball equator. The interior direct muscle is attached to sclera 11-17 mm far from its physiologic attachment place, the external one being 12-16 mm far. Scleral sutures are placed with 1/3 of its thickness being caught and stitch length being 2-3 mm long.
EFFECT: eliminated secondary squint and doubling image phenomena; reduced vision axes mismatch in ill and healthy eye.
