SUBSTANCE: invention proposes an antibacterial agent representing birch bark water-soluble substances concentrate prepared by extraction of birch bark with a polar solvent wherein the content of extractive substances is less 1.0 wt.-% in the dilution degree less 1:1000. Agent is prepared as viscous or dry extract or as tablet, pea, capsule, ointment, suppository, drops, cream, gel, bandage, application, plaster, napkin and elixir. Antibacterial agent can be added to a medicinal agent, curative-cosmetic and hygienic agent in the concentration 0.001-0.01 wt.-%. Proposed agent expands assortment of antibacterial agents showing high anti-adhesive activity and devoid the toxic effect. Invention can be used as a medicinal agent.
