FIELD: electric engineering, possible use in collector electric machines (motors and generators of high power).
SUBSTANCE: in accordance to the invention, a brush is made of separate rectangular plates, attached to each other by electro-isolating glue, while in working position of the brush the plates are positioned perpendicularly to collector surface and parallel to collector plates, thickness of each brush plate equals thickness of isolation insert of collector, and number of plates in a brush is determined by brush thickness.
EFFECT: improved commutation due to increased resistance of collector machine brush to additional current without increasing the resistance to working current.
