FIELD: vacuum switches, primarily outdoor ones.
SUBSTANCE: proposed vacuum switch has chamber installed in insulating tank accommodating vacuum arc chute installed in first insulating case, fixed contact coupled with first current-carrying bushing of switch, and movable contact connected to second current-carrying bushing. Current-carrying bushings are partially disposed in tank and partially are brought out of tank through cover. Space between outer surface of vacuum arc chute and inner surface of first case is filled with insulating material. Second insulating case made in the form of cylinder with two longitudinal ribs is installed outside the first case coaxially with the latter. Second case is mounted on first one in such manner that current-carrying bushings are disposed on opposite ends of second case relative to ribs. Rib width in direction perpendicular to longitudinal axis of case is chosen to ensure reliable air insulation between current-carrying bushings.
EFFECT: enhanced reliability of outdoor insulation, simplified design, easy maintenance in operation, and enhanced environmental friendliness due to dispensing with liquid insulation in switch design.
