SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular, to the compositions of the steels used in production of the pump-compressor - equipment, the high pressure containers. The steel contains carbon, silicon-, manganese, nickel, chromium), molybdenum, vanadium, aluminum, calcium, cerium, copper, nitrogen, titanium and iron at following components ratio (in mass %): carbon - 0.1 - 0.2, silicon - 0.2 - 0.4, manganese - 0.5 - 1.0, nickel - 5.0-7.0, chromium - 2.0 - 3.0, molybdenum - 3.0 - 4.0, vanadium - 0.3 - 0.5, aluminum - 0.08-0.12, calcium - 0.003 - 0.005, cerium - 0.1 - 0.2, copper - 0.5 - 1.0, nitrogen - 0.05 - 0.1, titan - 0.1 - 0.2, iron - the rest. The invention ensures the increased strength of the steel.
