FIELD: medicine, psychiatry.
SUBSTANCE: in a patient's blood before therapy one should detect the concentration of neurosteroid dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), cortisol and the value of neutrophilic apoptosis. Moreover, it is necessary to calculate the ratio of DHEA/cortisol*100, where DHEA concentration should be measured in mcg/ml, and that of cortisol - in nM/l. At total initial values of neutrophilic apoptosis in peripheral blood being under 0.5%, DHEA concentration being under 1.5 mcg/ml and DHEA/cortisol*100 ratio being under 0.3 one should predict low clinical efficiency of atypical neuroleptics in treatment of residual schizophrenia. The innovation enables to increase the accuracy of predicting the efficiency in treating residual schizophrenia with atypical neuroleptics before the onset of therapy that provides the chance to carry out rehabilitation pharmacological procedures purposefully.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and accuracy of prediction.
