FIELD: medicine; medical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: method involves determining acupuncture points and selecting one of them as entrance point and another one as exit point. The points are punctured by threading them with single needle. Then, one or both needle ends are bent forming fixing members. Fixing members are formed by winding the bent end around the free segment or by forming clew from the bent needle tip or at least one spiral coil. Needle is rod with head according to the first embodiment. The whole rod or its free end is manufactured from material possessing plastic properties allowing fixing member formation from free end. Fixing member is produced by winding the free end around the rod or by forming clew from it or at least one spiral coil. Both needle rod ends allow fixing member formation according to the second invention embodiment.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness off treatment; high reliability in retaining needle end on patient skin.
