FIELD: metallurgy, mining, mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices designed for cleaning sewage waters. Proposed flocculator has vertical cylindrical housing, inner cylindrical perforated partition arranged coaxially to housing, horizontally arranged water supply branch pipes, diaphragm and pan for collecting clarified water in upper part, branch pipe to remove sediment in lower part and scraper mechanism with drive. Water supply branch pipes are installed so that axis of each branch pipe intersects radial plane perpendicular to axis at a distance from housing wall which is calculated by formula l=0.5(R-R1) where l is distance from wall of flocculator housing to point of intersection of axis of each branch pipe with radial plane perpendicular to said axis, R is radius of flocculator, R1 is radius of inner cylindrical perforated partition. Cut of branch pipe touches inner wall of housing.
EFFECT: improved efficiency of water cleaning, increased reliability in operation and reduced cost of device.
