FIELD: preparing of vegetables and fruits for storage.
SUBSTANCE: method involves washing inspected citrus fruits at predetermined mode parameters in sweet water; sequentially holding in solutions of potassium permanganate and citric acid, and suspension of preparation produced from biomass of Mortierella sclerotiella micromycet by predetermined process; coating stem place and adjoining surface with medicinal glue; exposing citrus fruits to ultraviolet radiation; packaging each fruit in smoking paper and placing in polymer trays. Method allows citrus fruits to be transported to space object and stored there during 45 days and used in space feeding.
EFFECT: prolonged shelf life of fresh citrus fruits.
