FIELD: power engineering; portable water deaeration units for steam boilers and make-up water units for heating systems.
SUBSTANCE: steam-and-water mixture moves in nozzle of varying section which is connected to deaerator housing; it consists of contraction tube, cylindrical and diffuser sections located in succession; speed of steam-and-water flow in diffuser section reaches supersonic level. Superheated water is added to main flow of water being deaerated through conical nozzle mounted in contraction tube section of nozzle of varying section for boiling of water and acceleration of steam-and-water flow to sound velocity at cylindrical section inlet.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of deaeration of superheated water in all operating modes of deaerator.
