FIELD: flying vehicles equipped with flapping wings set in motion by man power.
SUBSTANCE: proposed flapping-wing aircraft has fuselage (5), flapping wings (1), flapping wing control mechanism, tail unit, control members, front wheels (20) and rear wheels. Lower and upper surfaces of fuselage are formed by two parabolas Y1=K1X1/2 and Y2=2R0+K2X1/2 which are tangential relative to circle at radius R³ R0 whose center is located at distance 1³2/3L, where L is projection of fuselage length on coordinate X; coefficients K1 and K2 are calculated by the following formulae K1=Y1A/X1/2 1A and K2=-2R0+Y2B/X1/2 2B, where points A and B are points of tangency of parabolas Y1 and Y2 of circle at radius R; point A is found by intersection of perpendicular erected from point 1³2/3L, where L is projection of fuselage length on coordinate X at line of angle of attack α³7° and point B is opposite point of diameter laid off point A on erected perpendicular.
EFFECT: increased lift force of flapping wing.
