FIELD: mechanics.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to devices designed for prevention of fire spreading along gas pipe lines. Fire barrier consists of cylinder shape case with a fire extinguishing porous head, fast-acting cutoff valve with drive and thermo sensitive element. New components of fire barrier design are confusor and throttle element intended for reliable protection of the porous head from two destroying factors: a confusor produced shock wave and high temperature effect, produced by a throttle element.
EFFECT: increase of reliable performance of a fire barrier with a porous fire-extinguishing head.
