SUBSTANCE: said utility invention relates to a device for the emergency electric arc protection of a busbar system, which contains at least the first and second busbars with the first emergency electric arc electrode at least fixed to the first busbar and the second emergency electric arc electrode fixed to the second busbar; the first edge of the first emergency electric arc electrode being opposite the second edge of the second emergency electric arc electrode so that the electric arc occurring during a short circuit between the first and second conducting busbars burns between the first and second edges. On order to mainly avoid burning of the busbars, the inner width of the gap between the edges of the emergency electric arc electrode is less than the inner width of the gap between the busbars; the first and second emergency arc electrodes in the area of the first and second edges correspondingly are designed double-layered, in particular, by folding.
EFFECT: invention allows to avoid busbar burning.
