FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining coatings based on powdered materials relates to the field of powder metallurgy. A layer of jelly-like flux is applied on the metallic base surface, the metallic base is simultaneously heated to a temperature of 70-90°C, and the jelly-like flux layer is heated to a temperature of 100-120°C. After that, a metallic powder layer is applied and formed; the powder is previously dried to a humidity of 3-4% and heated to a temperature of 110-130°C, and the layer is fed to the agglomeration area. Agglomeration of the formed powder layer is carried out by two roller electrodes, by applying alternate electric current pulses described by a partial sine wave. The pulse duration is less than the sine wave period and is 0.7-0.8 of its period, and the duration of the pause between pulses is 0.2-0.3 of the sine wave period. Simultaneously with the application of electric current, pressure is applied to the powder layer.
EFFECT: enhancement of mechanical properties of coatings; increase in their service life.
