FIELD: troop safety.

SUBSTANCE: method consists in placing a material onto the surface of an object and/or a terrain, said material having hard contrast parameters and/or properties towards the natural background of said terrain and/or said object and forming a spot, i.e. a signal point. The material is a powder or a mixture of powders in an evacuated or a non-evacuated volume, and/or a fibre, and/or half-wave radiators, and/or a foam solution with compressed gas added therein, forming an overpressurized volume, and/or sheets or strips of a woven of non-woven fabric and/or pneumatic baffles for electromagnetic waves. Said materials are dispersed by exploding an expelling charge or by depressurizing the evacuated volume, or by depressurizing the volume filled with overpressurized gases. As a result said material falls to the surface and forms a spot, i.e. a signal point that is visible in the infrared portion of the electromagnetic spectrum.
